There is a neat website called Bunk a Biker where people have the opportunity to open up their homes for travelers and bikers. We had learned about it from a friend in Switzerland and decided to give it a shot since we saw somebody in the Salamanca area.

We ended up meeting Bruno and his girlfriend, Esther, and they were so gracious to open up their home and host us for two nights. Bruno is from Brazil and Esther is from Spain; it was a really fun time getting to know them and seeing Bruno’s love for riding and adventure in general. It was a bit rainy during our time there so we were able to have some planning/research time on our computer inside, Austin was able to build the code reader, and after all the work was done for the day, we were able to spend the evenings chatting with Bruno and Esther. We also went into downtown Salamanca one evening with another friend, JP, which is a beautiful little city and had dinner. We walked around the city and all of the old time, Spanish looking buildings were lit up and absolutely stunning.

We also had some fun on the Ural giving rides and Bruno was able to drive his first sidecar! You can tell he was pretty excited from the second photo below. I think Austin was equally excited to be riding in a sidecar.
