Laguna Carachi Pampa is a salt lake in NW Argentina. It is known for its' pinkish/orange water, the volcanic rock & landscapes surrounding it, and its' flamingos! While we were there, the flamingos were poking their beaks into the water and eating nearly the entire time. They eat blue-green and red algae, diatoms, larval and adult forms of small insects, crustaceans, molluscs, and small fish.
