When we were in Paris 1 year ago, we spent a lot of time with the Acker family (Isabelle, Bertrand, Martin, Diego, the list goes on)! We also helped another family (Dorothee and Benoît) capture some geese in the lawn of their countryside home which was such a hilarious day. We essentially have felt like we have been adopted by the kindest people in Paris and goodness, it has been amazing to see them all again and spend time with them.

It has been fun getting to know Dorothee and Benoît more on this trip since we only spent a couple of days with them during our first trip to Paris. They have four sons and one of the sons and his wife are coming back from South America this weekend after a 9-month trip. Austin and I are stoked to meet them and hear about their travel adventures!!

We also had dinner at Isabelle and Bertrand’s a couple of nights ago and it was so refreshing seeing familiar faces, we had a blast spending the evening with them. We spent a couple of weeks getting to know Isabelle and her family our first time in Paris last summer so it was exciting to all catch up and share stories from travels and life. Diego, one of their family friends from Bolivia, lives with them so he was there too! We had ridden bikes all over Paris and grilled out many times with him last summer. Gosh, it made my heart feel so full seeing the friends we met last summer and I am excited to see them more during our time in Paris! :)
