On a zodiac tour near a massive glacier, we listened to the sounds of the glacier calving (cracking and moving) and it sounded like thunder booming. Occasionally, we would see a chunk break off and see the snow and ice fall into the water causing a great ripple effect in the cove. The glacier's coloring was partially white but also had sections of aqua blue, it was all breathtaking! We had to stay very far from the glacier in case a large front chunk broke off so in the photos the glacier doesn't look too tall but it was around 200ft tall along the water.
