Harberton is a small settlement located on the eastern shore of the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. It is known for its historic estancia (ranch), Estancia Harberton, founded in 1886 by Thomas Bridges, a British missionary, and pioneer. One of our guides, Mafu, is 5th generation directly related to Thomas Bridges! It was really neat seeing his home/ranch but also seeing a pivotal place for the history of southern Argentina. The area is surrounded by stunning natural beauty, including forests, mountains, and marine life, making it a popular spot for eco-tourism and wildlife observation.
