Isla del Sol is located on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca. It is considered a sacred island in Incan culture and is known in Incan mythology as the birthplace of the sun. We took a ferry to the north side of the island and trekked to the south side. The views were impeccable—the rich-colored lake and snow-capped Andes were breathtaking. Ancient ruins were also scattered across the island's rugged terrain, adding to its mystique and beauty.
