The Nao Victoria museum is a maritime museum with 4 ship replicas, from historical voyages or events:
(1) Victoria: the first ship/voyage to circumnavigate the globe
(2) James Caird lifeboat: the boat Shackleton and his 5 mates used to sail from Elephant Island to South Georgia Island
(3) HMS Beagle: known for the voyage with Captain FitzRoy and Charles Darwin
(4) Ancud: a Chilean ship used to claim the Straight of Magellan
Seeing the James Caird lifeboat was wild, specifically for me since I now understand the types of waters this boat was in; it was such a small boat to be out in the Drake Passage. I learned about this boat and voyage from a great book. I highly recommend reading "Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage" by Alfred Lansing. It is a book sharing the story of one of Ernst Shackleton's polar expeditions and it is incredibly intense and just a jaw dropping story.
