We visited many pyramids even outside of the main pyramids in Giza. We saw the Red Pyramid, the Bent Pyramid, the Black Pyramid, the Step Pyramid, and the Great Pyramids of Giza. The Red Pyramid, the Bent Pyramid, and the Black Pyramid were all in one area about an hour from Cairo.

We ended up actually going inside of the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid. The journey to get inside the pyramid was unexpectedly challenging, haha! There is a hole about 4ft x 4ft with a decline of 25 degrees. It took about 5-6 minutes hunched over in the dark to enter both of the pyramids going downhill so we actually guessed we were under the pyramid rather than inside of it. Once we were inside the pyramid it was quite dark and we walked through more tunnels and staircases into a couple of larger rooms that were empty. One room had a few bats but the other was empty. It was rather anticlimactic but still interesting to be inside of a pyramid. It also was very hot and stuffy in the tunnels so we all came out dripping in sweat. It was not the sexiest time, ha, but we all agreed we are glad we did it once.

The photos below overlooking the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx were actually taken from the balcony of Pizza Hut in Giza, ha! How crazy is that? A Pizza Hut with such a view. Their balcony had stunning views, as you can see, so we soaked in the sunset overlooking the pyramids for an hour or so.
