We camped and went rafting with our friends Mat and Chichi on the Rioni River with a local company. The company had a plot of land on the river so we all camped there as well! Austin and I met two German bike-packers (Andrea and Wiebke) at a guesthouse the day before and they joined for camping too! Here is our group of 6 from camping, we were sending off Andrea and Wiebke as they continued their ride through Georgia!

They rafting was insanely fun and intense! We rafted about 30 km (20 miles) and it was definitely not a river float so we were paddling and working hard nearly the whole time. The water is from snow melt so it was very chilly but we all had wet suits on to help us stay warm. The cold water actually felt really nice since it was warm out and we were paddling a lot. We went in some extreme rapid and had two kayakers with us scoping out the route and also there for safety in case anything happened to us. It was so epic and so much fun!!
