Between Bangkok and Chiang Mai is a small town called Sukhothai. It is known for its' ruins from the Sukhothai Kingdom that was booming in the 13th and 14th centuries. Our accommodation that we stayed at had bicycles to rent so we hopped on the bicycles and jetted off for the day exploring the ruin grounds that span the city. We rode about 15 miles (24km) around the ruins and saw quite a bit! A lot of the ruins were restored, but they were still very beautiful and interesting to see. Many of these were Buddhist but there was one that was Hindu.
