We spent a couple of days at the beach with our friend, Beau. We surfed, swam, and relaxed. The sand was so soft and the water was so warm we could swim in just our bathing suits for nearly an hour. Other times I have swam in the Pacific, it has felt a lot colder..that's mainly in California though so it makes sense being so far south the water would be warmer.
