This Sunday afternoon, we found a Christian church (Trinity International Church) to attend, we have been excited to check out local churches in whatever area we are currently in. The service was mostly in English but had some worship songs in French. The pastor spoke on a couple of the miracles in Matthew 9 and brought deep context to the passages.

The first person we met was a kind man from Madagascar. We then met Ireti and Fabrice who sat down next to us. Ireti is from the UK but originally from Nigeria and Fabrice was from just outside of Paris but has lived all over the world. We didn’t exchange many words before the service but ended up chatting more after the service. Fabrice knew Chris who was a man that attends the church regularly. Chris’ family also goes to the church so we met his mother too. They all were incredibly kind and we all went out for drinks afterwards and shared a couple of hours together. Chris’ mom mentioned I looked “like the woman from pulp fiction” so I showed her when I dressed up as Uma Thurman from Kill Bill for Halloween, ha! She also is part of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) which is a Bible study I am part of so that made the BSF world feel even smaller for us both. She started going to BSF when she lived in Hong Kong for a few years. Overall, it was a lovely afternoon with new friends!
