We needed up get the second dose of the hepatitis A vaccine six months after we got the first so we had to get it abroad. I found a spot in Madrid that had appointments during our time there. Once we got to the vaccine center, we checked in, filled out paperwork, and immediately met with the doctor ready to show her our vaccine history and share which one we needed. About 60 seconds after we met with the doctor, we got the second dose administered and then were done. It was the easiest process and so straightforward. It was also free!! How incredible is that? Austin and I were joking and shared how we plan to buy a plane ticket and make a vacation out of getting vaccines in the future rather than paying an arm and a leg in the USA.
