We visited Njardarheimr in the viking valley and learned all about the viking history. In the village there were multiple homes where people live for a few weeks at a time and help work in the village. We learned all about their boats, weapons, turning sheep wool into thread and eventually into clothing, their trade highway (the fjord out to the ocean), their gods, their pillaging to steal money, and so much more. We were able to wander the village on our own but also joined in the guided tour. During our time of wandering on our own, we were able to try archery, hatchet throwing, and try on some battle gear, it was awesome! The landscape was stunning; the mountain walls surrounded us so there were multiple waterfalls (thanks to the heavy rain the past couple of days) pouring off the various rock ledges.
