Leandra is a youth pastor at a state church in Switzerland. I did not know much about the religious system in Switzerland so I'll share an overview of what I learned: At birth, parents can designate their kids Catholic, Protestant, or neither. When kids are designated as Catholic or Protestant, they attend a class 1 evening a week in the respective churches throughout grade school and middle school. Leandra is the youth pastor for the Protestant state church so the kids she pastors are not technically there by choice, rather it is part of growing up after being designated Protestant.

Leandra asked us if we would come and share our travel story and testimonies to the group during their youth group on Thursday night. We got to share what it means to us to be a Christian, what prayer is to us, about our past travels, and so much more.We also had a Q&A afterwards which was neat to see how engaged the kids were (mainly with travel questions but hey, hopefully we said some things about God that will sink in either now or further in life). It was amazing to let God work through our conversation with the youth group and be able to share how he moves in our lives.
