We crossed into Indonesia from Malaysia and it was quite a fluid border process, both sides combined took us 1 hour. In the past, some borders have taken us up to 8 hours so we were stoked about our 1 hour.

Our next target city is Pontianak, Indonesia where we will hop on a 36 hour ferry to Java, Indonesia. The ferry should be a real treat (*insert sarcasm*); we have heard there are mats to sleep on in one big common room and that there are cockroaches everywhere, yikes. More to come on our actual experience of the ferry but as of now, we both have extremely low expectations.
