We hiked through a beautiful canyon to see the Choquequirao ruins, we spent 1 night in the canyon so we hiked for 2 days total. On our way to the ruins, we stayed at a little guesthouse that was in a small mountain village. The only way to get to the village is by walking or by donkey/horse. The hike was no joke, we clocked 28 miles (45 km) and gained 13,000 ft (~4,000m) in elevation and lost 13,000 ft (4,000m); we were smoked after the trek!

The guesthouse had a funny contrast of old and new..they were drying out their corn (like that have done for hundreds of years) but also were using StarLink, we chuckled when we saw this:
