I have a friend from the USA that has been living in Dushanbe for the last three years, her name is Claire. She invited us to her house church the first full day we were in the capital city (Dushanbe) and we were so excited! People gather in homes rather than formal churches since it is very frowned upon by the government. We haven’t been to church or been with other believers since Istanbul, Turkey so it was such a magnificent time worshipping and diving into the Bible all together.

We also got to get dinner with Claire and her teammate, Caroline. We ended up going to a Georgian restaurant and it was insanely delicious! We loved learning about each other’s lives and what their life looks like overseas, they both are very inspiring. It was also special to have a little glimpse of the USA when spending time with Claire and Caroline!
