We were very excited to go to church since we were going to Red Rocks Church Brussels. I, Ellie, went to Red Rocks Church in Denver for about 5 years and they have a campus in Brussels. We were but stoked but when we showed up, no one was there sadly. We double checked their website and it stated that 11am on Sunday they have service..eventually I thought to message them on their Instagram account and realized they announced on their Instagram page that they were having online service only that day. Dang it!

Fortunately they were having a movie event later in the day so we decided to kill a few hours reading until the movie event started so we could meet some Red Rocks people regardless. It was a very nice quiet time full of reading and slowing down with thoughts. I read from a kindle and goodness, that is the best gift I could have received before this trip. I am flying through books and it is very handy!! Thanks mom and dad! :)

Eventually 3:30pm came around and we headed back to the church to the movie event. We ended up meeting a few folks and all watched "Sing 2" munching on popcorn. It was a very cute movie with modern music, we both really enjoyed it! It was actually quite nice to sit down and watch a movie, a different kind of relaxing for sure.

After the movie, we ended up going out to dinner and spending the evening with our new friends, Tim and Erica. Tim is a volunteer at the church and actually interned in Denver at Red Rocks Church so he was familiar with our past turf in Denver. Erica is an au pair for a Belgium family who is additionally pursuing dance and language in Europe but she is originally from the States. It was such a blast kicking it with them and getting to know both of them better throughout the evening!
