We did like the locals do this day and by that I mean, climb a lot of elevation on ladders to see the cliff village. There is a village that sits 800 meters (2,624 feet) upon a clifftop in southwest China and we got to visit! We climbed up the opposite side of the mountain to be able to view the actual cliff village (video below shows the plateau and zooms in on the village) but there were guest houses at the top of our climb so we could have stayed the night there! We saw one man across the way at the cliff village and heard a few other people rounding up animals. It was so spectacular, both of us were in awe!

Can you see the ladders from afar in the photo below? They appear quite small to the eye on this photo but trace a path up the mountain allowing the locals to access their village.
