Climbing in Boquete was awesome - climbing in the outdoors is so special compared to climbing indoors to me. Being in the outdoors makes it a rich and energetic experience. The main climbing company in Boquete was started by a German guy named Christian who moved to Panama when he was about 10 years old. He is now 40ish so he is essentially a local! We climbed the first day with them and then Christian invited us to climb at a different spot the next day with some of his friends: 2 Panamanian guys and 1 Peruvian guy. The rock walls were volcanic rock that was stunning and like nothing we have ever climbed before!
