We typically leave our phones at our hostel so photos are very scarce; however, we brought them to dinner out and captured this little shot (see the photo at the end of the post).

Today, we had a yummy breakfast out. Austin had a Berber omelette (egg, tomato, and Moroccan spices) and fresh squeeze orange juice. Berber people are the native people to the area we are at in Morocco. I had a plain omelette with spices and tea. We both shared Moroccan bread and various dips (honey, jam, butter, and Moroccan almond butter that is to dieeee for).

I then spent some time doing some finance-related things from my past job that I’ve been avoiding for a couple of months, haha. Austin vegged out a bit too.

After wrapping up those items, we popped by our favorite surf shop to grab surf boards and wetsuits. We first went to a beach that had some big waves and a super strong current so that didn’t go as planned. We tried paddling out and got swooped by the current, no wonder not many people were out trying to surf there… After that, we walked back to the beach near our hostel and played in the waves there for a couple of hours. We both were so wiped out after that surf session, phew. I am a beginner but I’m getting better each time I surf so I am very stoked about that! I can usually catch the wave and stand up but my foot placement on the board is not consistent which then leads to poor balance, ha. I’m hoping to graduate from a “beginner board” aka a foam board to an actual surf board within the next week :) Austin is more experienced than me with surfing so he is an excellent teacher!! It’s very fun to watch him catch some waves and cruise. We both have been smiling ear to ear while surfing together, we absolutely love it!

Here is a photo from our dinner out this evening :)
