We visited and actually stayed at Luke Skywalker's home (at least the film site they used for shooting)! We stayed in the Hans Solo room, each room was named after a character. I am new to Star Wars - as in just finished watching the first 6 films with Austin last week, ha. We have been watching them the past 2 months in preparation for Tunisia. I have always loved the music (John Williams is brilliant!) but for some reason, I never watched the movies. I have loved seeing the film sites after seeing the movies though. Soon we will visit other Star Wars film sites and also some Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark film sites too. Harrison Ford must have spent a lot of time in Tunisia in the late 70s and early 80s!

The fourth photo is from the scene when Luke is having lunch with his aunt and uncle in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

I really love the second to last photo - it looks like a candid while shooting the film of Luke, Obi-Wan Kenobi, R2-D2, and C-3PO. There is something very pure about the happiness on Luke's face.

The last photo is also pretty neat if you take some time to look at it. It is an aerial view of the grounds during the shooting so you can see the entrance into the below ground home and the main open corridors with the tiny room entrances painted with a white border.
