We met Lisa on the Couchsurfing application and she agreed to host us for two nights. It was absolutely an incredible time with her!

The first evening she made a delicious meal for us and we talked for a few hours pretty late into the night or should I say, early into the morning. She has such a passion for life and learning, I love that about her. She also found a red wine I actually enjoy…I typically don’t enjoy red wine but she found a great one from southern Italy!

The second evening, Austin and I thought sharing one of our favorite meals would be a treat so we made chicken tacos and homemade salsa & guac. We had a little Fiesta Friday party with Lisa and two of her friends (Andrea and Daniela). Andrea is from Sicily and Daniela is from Lithuania, they are married and have a baby on the way! It was so much fun hanging out with all of them, it felt like we were relaxing with old friends from home. I made this homemade salsa recipe which turned out amazing even with the lack of cilantro. Gosh, did you know that you can’t find cilantro anywhere in Italy!?! I tried over 10 grocery stores and no one had it so unfortunately our guac and salsa did not have cilantro and our tacos were not garnished with it but hey, everything ended up being tasty regardless.
