It is always a blessing to find a church when we are in places that have churches. Worshiping with other believers brings a whole new energy and throughout our travels, it has become very clear why we are created to be in community. I found Mendoza Vineyard Church online before getting to Mendoza and we are so grateful we were able to join them for their Sunday evening service. The church was started and is run by Mark and Karina. Mark is an American and Karina is Argentine. Prior to getting married (many years ago) they both lived and grew up in Argentina. Once they were married, they lived in the USA for nearly 30 years and had a family there until God called them back to Argentina, specifically Mendoza, to start a church during their retirement.
After church on Sunday, they invited us to their new Bible study small group for English speakers (Sunday church is in Spanish) on Thursdays so Austin and I decided to extend our time in Mendoza to be able to spend time with our new friends! We were able to study God's word and also meet other believers that are expats but full-time living in Mendoza.
We got lunch one day with Mark and Karina and it was so much fun getting to know them and their story. Currently, Austin and I are doing an alone week so I will pass through Mendoza again and be able to stay with them and go to church one more week with them, I am so excited about that!
