Wool shops and knitting

I've been a knitting feen since getting back from Antarctica. Many of the European women on the ship were making amazing things so it peaked my interest and I wanted to give it a shot and learn. I also thought it would be a fun new hobby and additionally a challenge since I have never knitted anything in my life. Thanks to YouTube, I have become a knitter and love it so much! I have made a few hats, a neck gator, a very misfitting sock (the heels are hard!!), and a headband. I am currently working on incorporating varying colors in a hat and a new sock. I also want to teach myself how to read a pattern and make a sweater, that's a goal of mine for 2025.

In Mendoza, I was able to get a bunch of new wool for my new projects and I am so excited about them all!!

This hat is my first wearable :) This is a special wool from Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina...it is amazing wool and didn't realize how nice it felt until I felt other wool at other shops.

I am so happy that you are finding knitting rewarding. It is perfect for you to be able to carry along without weight and bulk for the kinds of pieces you are doing........and you are in such a good place for some of the finest wool available. Maybe I told you, my first endeavor were argyle sock for my high school boyfriend...........a challenge at best and one that got the best of me, and he wasn't around later when I might have finished the socks!!
