We rode a beautiful dirt road through the mountains and had many incredible views. Along the route, we saw a big glacier, dinosaur footprints, ancient wall paintings, and many stunning sites.
We took a small walk to the Pastoruri Glacier. The glacier sits at 5,250 meters (17,200 feet) above sea level - although it was a small walk, it took the breath out of me walking up the hills at that elevation.
The dino foot prints were along a rock wall right on the road. The rock was black and smooth, it reminded me of the basalt (volcanic rock) I studied in GEO 101 in college.
The wall paintings were neat to see but throughout the years and intense weather the mountains experience, they have faded quite a bit.
