On one of our alone days, I visited a museum that I thought would be educational and found intriguing. I have always loved maps (global and topography) so when I saw this museum online a few months ago, I put it on my list to check out when we were visiting Brisbane. It was neat to see all of the old tools that the professionals used for surveying the land for map creation. It was incredible to see some of the old maps that were made with tools compared to aerial shots that were taken with modern technology. These guys and gals were pretty brilliant when creating the tools they used for surveying and map creation. The museum was a government museum and was free too! That was a sweet surprise. I have noticed that Australia, in general, has a lot of free museums and national parks for their people and visitors to enjoy.
