We had a nice rest day where we didn't plan anything and could play the day by ear. I ended up taking a day hike to a hut and Austin relaxed back at our airbnb / walked around the village.

On my hike, I hiked to the next village and then up into the mountains to a rifugio to check it out. It was a bit cloudier than the previous day so I am super happy we did the via ferrata the day we did rather than today. Today we would have risked thunderstorms and that would have been not good to be attached to a steel cable alongside the face of a mtn during a thunderstorm.

Along the way on my hike, I found a sweet water source and drank from it (you'll see in the photo below). The water was so cold and crisp, it was delicious! Talking with our airbnb host, he mentioned that the water sources up in the mtns are clean but the water gets dirtier and dirtier as you get into the valley from animals and human waste so glad I drank from that one rather than one in the village!
