Uralla is a small town that reminds me of a Hallmark movie. What of the nights that we were there, the town was having their first ever Christmas festival and it honestly felt like we were in a movie. The whole town came together to put on the Christmas festival evening.
There was a live nativity scene (~15 children) with the story of Jesus’ birth, there was Santa’s workshop where kids could go go make little Christmas ornaments, there was the North Pole Post Office where kids could bring their letters to Santa or even write a letter and send it to Santa there. They also had a big market where local artisans could sell their crafts and also a couple of local food vendors supplying yummy food. Later in the evening, there was Christmas caroling, dancing, scripture reading, a Christmas parade through the center street of Town. At end of the night was the lighting of the Christmas tree. It was so much fun to go to and to see all the families out with their kiddos!
