Well..I woke up early and peaked out the window and it was completely white/foggy. I decided to crack our window to see what it was really like and it was a white out and the mountains were covered in snow. LOL I knew there was a chance of snow but didn’t think it would actually happen since we have had unreal weather this whole trip haha - Despite the snow, it was an insanely beautiful trek down to Rifugio Pederü. The mountains were snowy and the temperatures were slowly rising so the puffy snow clouds lifted late morning creating open skies. It was a bit snowy/slushy so we had some wet feet but knowing we were heading towards a warm, cozy rifugio was quite reassuring. We actually both agreed it was amazing trekking weather by the time we got to our hut, blue skies and snow on the mountains, it was stunning. This hut we were at is a little more built out than last night. We had hot showers and very modern bunk rooms. We snagged the bunks that essentially make up a king-sized bed which was nice! Our hike today was quite short, 2.5 hours of downhill. A lot of the other huts shortly after this hut were fully booked so we will just have a longer day tomorrow so an early bed time is on the agenda tonight. Last night was early too, 9pm, which felt amazing! Since the trek was short, we had ample time to shower, read, relax, explore the hut’s surroundings (hello cows and chickens), and have dinner. The first photo is one I snagged from our window when I peeked out once waking... lol
